Marti’s Home Care Tip #3: Cut Through Grease and Dirt

Got tough grease and dirt?????

An easy, less harsh way to cut grease and tough dirt on clothes while washing is to add (in addition to your normal detergent) ½ cup to 1 cup baking soda to the wash cycle and 1 cup white vinegar to the rinse cycle.

The vinegar is a softener so there is no need to use fabric softener. The two will clean, deodorize and break down the grease and dirt.

If you notice a bit of gunk left in the bottom of the washer, Orange Hand Cleaner/degreaser is a safe and gentle to remove grease and won’t leave that icky residue.
