Getting ready to repaint your favorite room? Here’s a hint when choosing new paint colors for your walls. Try using poster board for your sample paints instead of painting directly on the walls. This is helpful for a couple reasons. First, it’s easier to move the colors throughout the house to see how they look with different lighting and in different areas of your home.
Also, if you sample many colors, it can become difficult to see one color from the next. Pretty soon, you’re comparing them against each other and no longer see them on their own. Maybe most importantly, the samples you painted on the wall are likely to show through the finish paint – I’ve seen it happen too often. Consider using poster board as you sample new colors for your walls. You’ll be glad you did.
