I hope your New Year is off to a great start. The real estate market sure is. The market continues its upward trend. According to CNN Money, 2012 was the best for home sales since 2007, and we’re anticipating more of the same in 2013. In fact, economists for the National Association of Realtors are expecting the sales of existing homes to rise 8 to 9 percent this year!
Bringing that down to the local level, home values in King County appreciated 10 percent, from December 2011 to December 2012. Coupled with lower-than-normal inventory, Seattle area home-sellers are in control.
